Think about how things "used to be" . The internet allows us to be far more efficient with our connections to businesses

For groceries, you can have others shop and deliver it to you or you can pick it up without setting foot in the store and wasting time waiting in lines.

Need a ride? Here comes uber and lyft.

Need a date, here's a deceptive picture of your next date.

Think about movies. No more trips to the rental store. If you want to skip the theater you can.

Think about football, you can pretty much watch it anywhere.

Internet helps you make connections that you couldn't do without waiting in a line to see a person or on the phone to talk with a person.
