She was all stressed out from work, her car and more things than a Dad wants to hear about. Her Mom is in Roanoke taking care of a sick parent, and she seemed to want to tell me all 3,000 words of her problem.

So instead, I told her to get her coat and we were going out for Italian Healthcare. She didn't understand, so we drove to the nearby Giant. We walked the aisles and I encouraged her to grab all of the guilty pleasures she'd want to eat if she could just forget everything for an evening. She grabbed some eclairs, ice cream, rice pudding, cashews, etc. They all came to about $20.

I then told her if she went to a real doctor, her co-pay would be about the $20 I just paid.

"But," I told her. "By coming here and spending $20, you actually will feel better by the end of the night." :)
