We had similar happen at a dog park when our dog was about 1 year old


At the park, one german shepherd, also young but bigger than Chewy, was being a bit of a bully to other dogs. Not TOO bad, but fairly evident. My dog and the GS were fine with one another, stood next to one another non aggressively when both were getting a drink, but then the Shepherd came over by my kids, and Chewy jumped right in between the kids and that dog, raised up and started snarling. He didn't trust that dog with his kids.
