Harrington, Dinklage, Headey, and Flynn (Bronn) are straight-up awesome. As were Joffrey and Ramsay...their despicableness as villains is the best in any show or movie I can think of.

The ones that aren't awesome are usually at least good.

Only ones that really stick out are Clarke and Bran Stark that are consistently kinda bad. Petyr Baelish's accent is a bit all over the place, but he still played the role well. Maisie and Sophie took a long time to get traction with their characters, but that is understandable for child actors.

You can get pretty far in the broadcasting world with sex and violence. But GoT wouldn't have gotten to where it is with just sex and violence. Acting (and writing, at least until this last season) have been very good too.
