Buzz is his own guy - he will do what he feels like doing without a lot of notice. The only things we do know is that he doesn't want to coach too many more years - he has made that clear, and that he probably has a future behind a microphone. I don't think it is a coincidence that he ends up on CBS coverage after VT is eliminated every year.

I think he eventually wants to land in Texas, but that is something no one really knows. We have also heard from reliable sources that his relationship with Whit was rocky at best for awhile, though perhaps things have improved recently. I think it is also probable that the Texas A&M job opens in March - the same program that already has two VT assistants. So I will say this if Buzz doesn't end up at A&M this spring, then I think he may coach at VT another 5-6 years and then call it a day. If he wants to 'end up' in Texas then this is probably his best shot unless Shaka gets canned after next season.

But I go back to my first point - Buzz will do whatever he wants to do on a moment's notice and not for the reasons many would predict. I will enjoy him while he is at VT, whether it is for 3 more months or 5 more years.

As for Fuente, I think it is unfair to judge him based on this year just as it was unfair to judge him based on his first year. He now has 3 years of his recruits in place and he has weeded out some 'problems'. Let's see what he does next fall before we start burying the program.
