Wrestlestat's rankings can get really odd.
I assume they're just some computer ranking, which can get you some weird results. Maybe it's like the RPI, where your numbers are 75% the competition's record.
Prata has a sub-500 record (8-9) and is still somehow #21 overall at 125. He was #18 last week. Meanwhile, 11-4 Korbin (Dallas) Myers is #25 at 133. I suspect that Prata's ranking is because he has a bunch of "good" losses:
#8 Camacho (NCSU, I guess a redshirt) at 19-2 overall
#3 Rivera at 15-0
#10 Russell 17-3
#2 Glory at 16-3
#9 Melendez (UNC redshirt) at 17-3
He also split with "#18" Sandoval from Maryland at the F&M Open, whose record is barely over 500, and whose best result other than splitting with Prata is a win over #66. That rating is even less understandable -- his only "quality losses" are twice to Glory.
This does make the 8-9 record a lot more understandable.
Mitch's record at 141 is much better (12-3) but he hasn't exactly faced a murderer's row, missing Vegas and the Scuffle. He's passing the eye test so far; will be interesting to see how he fares in our ACC duals. Unless he totally collapses, we're getting an allocation at 141.
