It's just a muffler.


Wifey's CTS failed inspection due to holes in each muffler.

Took it to my regular guy for other work, and muffler replacement. He forgot the mufflers.

Took it to a reputable muffler shop. They said no holes, so I took it back to the original inspection shop, waiting to see what they'd say. I was ready to report them if they passed it. They asked if I replaced the mufflers. I said no, because my muffler shop said they were good.

They proceeded to lift the car and show me FOUR holes! (Eating crow was fun!)

I took it back to muffler shop and showed them the holes. The young mechanic said they were weep holes. I said, "uhh, not three on one muffler", so the manager came out. He said that the inspectors were correct, and that he mechanic of two years blew it.

Apologies from everyone at the shop.

The car will allegedly be ready at noon today.

Please God make it end.
