Vikings peeps: was this a little bit of a (SPOILS)... season V???
was this a little bit of an anti-climatic... season V?
It was pretty good overall.
B+++ or so.
And they've done as well as anyone since M*A*S*H departed Henry and Trap;
post-Ragnar getting snakey indeed.
The fighting-Bishop (St.Heahmund); was very very good.
The mix of Scandinavia and England... pretty good.
The intro' of new she-talents, very good.
Granted. This show has survived.
And it even tried to improve here-n-there.
As it seems to be a new Hollywood swerve to make a kid or a minority/cripple the villain.
------------------------
Tho' the last 2 or so episodes did not move the needle, much if at all.
Who was that new seer thingy?
Where did Ivar go?
How did his fake-news wifey not see a spiteful/revanche Ivar, coming?
And whacko Floki and his Fran Tarkenton kool-aid-cult find a
Celtic Cross underground as the volcano, erupts?
LOL. Where is a Chuck Foreman spin
(move) when we need it?
The Ragnar Ironside tie-in up above Kattegat was keen/nostalgic enough.
Though beyond that...
---------------------
As good as this show has been, did it just stay 1 year too, long?
And where is Rolo? (without saying too much-- his historic life is prolly
the most fascinating and material rich of them all)
(massive underutilization here sports-fans)
two thumbs (still) up, just smaller thumbs...
