Not sure how you are measuring intelligence

But NBA, NFL, and MLB players have a remarkable track record of being broke just a few years after they retire.

Don't really hear the same stories about NHL players. Granted, they make a lot less, so thier bank account may not seem like a bottomless pit of money that will never run out like athletes in other sports.
