Im a public school teacher and I support charter schools.

I know thats not popular, but i want whatever works for the kids....if its my school...great....if not, fine.
That said, my school is awesome. I would also argue that Montgomery County (Va) is a great school division. I believe there are many school divisions around the country that may not be run well at all. I do not think its right for students (parents) to not have a choice. If you are managing your school well, you should have very little to worry about when it comes to competing schools. If you are worried then you might what to think about why parents want to go to another school....and use that to make yourself and staff better.
