I always tell them "the fewer bags the better, don't care about crushing."


Otherwise, I end up consolidating their 8 bags into as few bags as possible. I like to try to get all the groceries in the house with one trip, with one hand. Need the other hand to unlock the door. With Food Lion I'll do 2 six packs of 16.9oz sodas side-by-side in one plastic bag. Never had the bag break.
