Recommend you check the cost of living in CA first


Everything costs significantly more (2X) than in Charlotte. If you're looking at San Francisco/Silicon Valley, think 10X+ more.

I lived in San Diego for 2 years, but as a FL resident. I had to endure the regular "cost of living" expenses, but not the income or property taxes. Most of the regular working people there were "house poor," meaning they poured so much money into the cost of their housing, they couldn't afford much else.
