Good morning Hokie Nation, just wanted to check in with everyone while I had free moment before practice today. The boys are healthy and on the up tick 1 week from departing for the Steel City, 9 days from today our team will be as healthy and energized as we have been all year! We will learn later today on Joey Prata's future at the tournament, but as of now we are one of 6 programs that are taking 9 to Pittsburgh. (Should have 3 seeded in the top 8 and 8 of 9 in the top 20, as this will be the first year they seed all 33 wrestlers in the bracket)
This has been a wild 2019 to say the least, as we are literally one match(in each event) from being double ACC champs, and being undefeated on the year. But as Robie said at the post ACC social, we will never make excuses and will be better the next time out. So on to NCAA's we go with clean slates and appreciation for the opportunity at hand! I have been to this tourney with many a great team, and these 9 guys are as prepared and hungry for this time a year as any! People come to VT for this opportunity to perform at the highest level, on a team that is motivated to be great, with a fan base that is 2nd to no one!

The future is extremely bright for Hokie Wrestling and if our ACC and NC State attendance shows us anything, our Fan Support is multiplying rapidly! Thank you for all you do Hokie Nation, our expectations are high and we will not slow down to we achieve them! See you in Pittsburgh!
