Same, got a bill from 2013 in 2016. What a mess, sent them a 13 page

document to get it cleared up. They kept sending me a letter that it would take another 45 days. This happened about 3-4 times and then nothing. I called and complained. Then they sent me another letter saying "wrong department". Took over a year to get it resolved, that's when they turned it over to another dept that solved it in a month and sent me a check for the original amount requested. Your IRS at work.
