"Can you tell me about some of these tasks..."

I feel for college kids, as many of them have to come up with filler for their resumes. I was in the same boat. If you like the guy, see what kind of tasks he mentions, and then give him some feedback on whether those are something he should list, or figure out a way to spin them better so it doesn't sound like beer runs, hazing, and bathroom cleanup.
"Voted pledge president and led ___ person pledge class in educational and community outreach programs, as well helping to organize fraternity and alumni events" and then be able to list some events that the fraternity did. Educational would be making sure the pledge class knows the greek alphabet.
He should also say that he's a Van Buren Boy.
