A fire suppression system within the timber framing would certainly work.


It appears the biggest issue was the inability to get water to the flames. The lead roof was waterproofing and kept the water from the hoses from getting to the fire, so it just raged on unabated. A sprinkler system within the framework would have helped contain the fire
