If pitch is a ball don't bunt, pitcher can't pitch out which best defense against suicide, if 3rd base cheats runner at 3rd gets even bigger lead, bunt strike down 3rd base line, which will make the throw to home more difficult. The comment we would give the runner is to make play like you are stealing home, and slide into catcher. Batter is to make attempt only on a strike, set up to bunt towards 3rd base. By the way the other 2 base runners advance to 2nd and 3rd with worst case 1 out. By the way Jack Owens would have been on deck.
