Better now than later

I just read your posts from yesterday about what happened. Obviously this is a shitty time for your daughter (plus mom and dad), but she is actually really lucky ... as odd as that sounds.

If he couldn't stay true to her now, when they are in what should be the biggest googly-eye stages of their relationship (technical terms), then he sure wouldn't be true to her 5, 10, 15 years from now.

Better to find out now than several years from now with one child and another on the way. She will find someone else eventually and, years from now, look back on this with a shake of the head, happy to have avoided his mess.

I also bet she finds that other guy sooner than you or she imagines. My oldest daughter was beautiful, smart, witty and totally committed to one guy - and there were half a dozen guys around her just hoping that guy screwed up. Weird to talk about, I know.
