Well I skimmed through this in-depth page on the VA TN border

and couldn't find anything definitively explaining that map. Anything where it could maybe make sense as someone's disputed border, wouldn't have included the rest of the contiguous states.

Of course, I say that as a person who has spent 15 minutes researching it on google, so there is a high chance I'm wrong or missing something (like the 1905 VA TN 3 day border war).
