Real Madrid was always going to spend the GDP of a mid sized african
country no matter what.
I'd imagine that Barca will fire their coach for the UCL loss. They'll sell Coutinho, Rakitic, and Malcom as a start. I think Alba's and Busquet's days as starters are numbered.
They've bought De Jong(from Ajax)---he'll replace Busquets. They'll buy De Ligt(from Ajax)---Replace Pique, plus they need to find an LB to replace Alba.
We need to get a striker too. Bottom line is Barca's core is old. We might have one more shot at a deep UCL run with this group but we looked slow. Everyone saw it.
As far as La Liga's response, they're trying to play catchup to the English clubs in viewership. They tried to play a Liga game in the USA but the players association nixed it. I think they'll keep trying to take marketshare.
Real Madrid and Barca will keep being bohemoths. Atlietico will be really good so long as Simeone is there and Valencia/Villareal will always hang on the periphery.
English teams have had the money for a while but by and large...English coaches stink. Bad. They got really good when they started poaching the best coaches from other leagues(that weren't english). I think the EPL figured that out and they've been ascendant ever since they did. The Bournemouth guy is good, Burnley guy, and Southgate. But I can't think of any great ones currently in the game.
