This was a team that was 23-30 last year...


I don't think they have a single thing to prove.

They have already surpassed even the most optimistic preseason expectations. BUT, I am pretty sure that they hold themselves to a much higher standard than anyone on this message board, so consequently I'm just as sure they are more disappointed than any of us.

Of the 10 non-pitchers who saw action yesterday, only 3 of them had ever played in an ACC tournament before, so perhaps, they were a bit overwhelmed. I certainly don't know. But I'm confident that they'll learn from it and move on.
