My daughter wanted to watch "The Karate Kid" this weekend. One question

for those of you who have stated "you know, I can see some ways where Danny could be the bad guy in that movie"

My question is....what drugs are/were you on?

I haven't seen the whole thing in 30 to 35 years. I didn't even remember that they moved to an apartment in CA at the beginning of the movie. So I was watching it knowing about other's comments on this board saying Danny could be the bad guy, looking for moments that would make that potentially true.

My conclusion on re-watching? How the heck could anyone watching consider Danny 'the bad guy'? I mean, other than putting the hose on the guy who had already beat him up twice, what did Danny do to provoke any of it? And even on that one, they responded with force way above and beyond proportion for getting him wet.

Scene one, he defends a girl against a bully and abuser.
Scene two, just riding his bike home and gets pushed down the hill to crash
Scent three, hose prank and 5 guys jump him and kick the crap out of him.

Sorry, Cobra Kai might be great, but in the original, Danny isn't even close to being a villain.
