There were a few moments that on first watching were very poorly explained
Chief among them obviously being why Dany snapped and decided scorched earth was the best option. The post show credits kinda explained that as she was staring at the Red Keep, in symbolized everything that was taken from her and she just lost it. Fine, but hard to deduce all that with nothing but an angry look on her face to work with.
I think the theory with the dragon attack is she intended to come in with the sun at her back so they couldn't aim the scorpions. But the only tip we got about that was Euryon holding up his hand to shield his eyes from the sun. I'm jumping to conclusions here, but that is the only thing I can think of to explain why they went from deadly accurate in the first encounter to utterly ineffective in the second. But would have been nice for that to have been explained in a battle prep meeting.
Lastly, I thought Arya running around the streets of KL was poorly explained. I couldn't really figure out where she was trying to go. Had she truly given up trying to kill Cierce? Did she change her mind and decide to go after Dany? Was she just running away? If she was just running away, why was she running in the opposite direction of most people on the streets? Again, a visually impressive, but poorly explained sequence.
