Apparantly its hard to CGI the wolves because they can't


actually have them on the set with the actors. So they capture the video of the real wolf and then insert it into the frame. Its expensive and time consuming to do it right which is probably why it looks like crap. They decided it was more important for the dragons to look realistic so that's where they spent the money.
