Not entertained by the show--by how bad it was getting, and by how people..


rightfully shredded it.

As I said earlier, there was a hope that some redemption would come, but it turned out to be a vain hope. GRRM hit a wall, and D&D were not up to the task of finishing it. The signs were there in season 5-6, and they never got on track. The showrunners set a line in the sand, and focused only on wrapping up plot threads within a timeframe.

They failed to further develop many of the characters, and if you don't understand why that's a problem, then I can't help you. They did Jon, Danaerys, Tyrion, Arya, Bran, no favors. Did okay with Brienne, the Hound, whiffed on Jaime and Cersei.

When Drogon finishes the series with a more satisfying character arc than the main characters, it's Not Good.
