GOT: ...series finale! (SPOILs)... well, that was...
better than the Pompeii Dragon BBQ saucing of King's Landing.
Tho' that's an entirely relative statement itself...
--------------
The knifing/ending of the dragon queen #me33 beeyotch was just underwhelming.
(as was his choice of, blade)
The dragon melting the Fe-throne was okay enuff.
A fresh start of Pol Pot of sorts?
Taking her body was not bad.
Leaves door(s)... open, plural.
Tho' the democracy park place roundtable in the dragon pit was as feckless as it gets.
That had no bite. None. Nadda. Nil.
As the overall writing has been in glib/pithy Brit' 'esque decline since
the raiding party went north to capture a white-walker ice-corporal.
G.Worm was nearly more emasculated via pouting his way home at all times.
Embarrassing the Outlander crossover guy did neither series any good-- even if
Bran is no bad choice. (was hoping he'd wog the Dragon JIC...)
Sansa and the north remaining an indy was good.
They need no conference affiliation.
--------------
Tho' needle girl going Manifest Destiny and going west young girl was a neat
(possible) sequel opening.
Ditto actually did like the final scene with Jon and the wild-folk just quietly
wondering off back up north Beyond The Wall...
(good to see 1 dierwolf live, too)
-----------------
It got better (less the obviously dysfunctional Little Council) towards the end.
With the Snow and Tormund exodus and 1,000-yard stares with
no dialogue and the theme playing was sporting enough.
========
48% on Rotten Tomatoes is pretty poor, however.
I might go good for double nickles or 55%. Maybe even 60% if you get me drunk.
As it is a long long long way down from The Battle of the Bastards and
that final expedition north with the ice-dragon dredging.
The King is dead...
...long live the... king.
