As a Mets fan I felt like he didn't deserve the heat he took from Sox fans


Bullpen had already blown a 2 run lead, and even if he makes the play the game was still tied. Not to mention Mookie Wilson likely would have beaten the throw anyway. And on top of that, Boston still blew a 3-run lead in Game 7. But frustrated fans will always look for a scapegoat.
