"Planet Fitness is an interesting place. people go in, get a quick workout in, and leave. It isn't that social cluster a typical gym becomes, when guys do a set, sit on the bench and scroll their phone, or chat up other guys for five minutes, all while maintaining ownership of said bench or machine."

My experience wasn't that, people still did that and, worse, weren't willing to work in while doing so, which is my opposite experience when I've worked out next to the meatiest of meatheads who loved more than anything to let people work in and talk about gym stuff more than you'd ever desire. "Bros" in my experience are friendly gym goers. PF Bros were the opposite and it's because they're cheap and too stupid to know any better. Yes, I'm sure the old ladies and men walking around the cardio machines are all great....

And to add, I'm sure it's not an absolute culture issue at every Planet Fitness ever, but the one in Centreville, VA is the shirtiest of the shirts.
