Used give my Boy Scouts grief about ending a sentence in a preposition.

I claimed they spent half their time being lazy and trying to get out of work and yet they said "Where is he AT" instead of the succinct and better "Where is he??"
When my son was 4 or 5 one day he put his hands on his hips and said to his slightly redneck babysitter "Betty, don't end your sentence with a preposition" after she had done the same. No report whether he got slapped.
