My father-in-law ran a deli/snack bar in DC for 20 years so he was familiar with the Greek cuisine, (especially the fast food cuisine). He told us the meat they use for gyros (slab of meat on the vertical rotisserie) is the worst quality meat you could ever eat.

BTW, Astrohokie is right. the correct pronunciation of gyro is:

YEE-roh
