Performance bought out Nashbar many years ago, like a decade or two ago.

Performance itself was bought out by some parent company about 3-4 years ago. More recently, that parent company went bankrupt, and most (all?) the stores closed. Curiously, they could only have individual "store closing" sales, not a "going out of business sale". Some company then bought the right to the Performance name, including their customer list. I've recently gotten some solicitation emails from them, but haven't bought anything. It was nice to have a local store nearby, where you could get some things at "Performance Bike" pricing instead of local bike shop pricing. But you can still get that pricing lots of places online now.
