Not too worried about that one.

NAS Oceana's proximity to Naval Base Norfolk makes it darn near invaluable. Add to that every single time BRAC has raised concerns over NAS Oceana, the city has bent over backwards to address and satisfy those concerns.

However, if NAS Oceana ever were to close, there would still be thousands of sailors living in VB and working in Norfolk, Dam Neck, and Little Creek. The Navy is never going to leave the area entirely. I wouldn't put it past City Council to give Disney the world to open a Disney Theme Park on the NAS Oceana site. LOL
