Nancy Drew (children's storybook theme transport) is our 8th foster this year. She will get adopted on 8/17, then we'll take a few week break and probably start up again in September.

We have loved all of them, kept none. If we find homes for them it makes room for another that we can save. It's also kind of like being grandparents. We get to love them for a few weeks and then give them back to their parents for the hard stuff. Our dog loves the company and does miss some of them when they are gone - that's why we keep getting more! She is such a good big foster sister and teaches them how to be a good dog.

We usually housebreak them, crate train them, teach them to sit and come (as good as we can), socialize them with other dogs and people, take them to their spay/neuter appointment, and make sure they are fat and healthy in the 3 weeks that we have them. It's very rewarding and fun.
