I rocked the Atari 2600 back in the day. I always thought the original NES


had too many buttons and never could get into it. I liked the single joystick with one red button controller.

Ever since then, game consoles have just gotten more and more complicated.

It was also conspicuous when I got to VT that only the super-geeks still played computer/console games. It was firmly believed at the time video games were for kids, not college students. But I noticed about 5-8 years after I graduated, bringing a game system to college was pretty darned normal, and the generation that continued gaming well into their 20's and beyond got its foothold.
