Somewhat in her defense, when you count money a lot


you start to think in terms of 1's, 5's, 10's and 20's. A $50 bill does throw you for a loop. A fist full of them is a full-on mental reboot.

I've never run a cash register per se, but I've handled the cash box at volunteer events. I got to the point I could figure all the totals and change in my head very quickly...unless someone handed me a $50. That just screwed everything up.
