Any dog whisperers here?

Every day, I come down first in the morning to put the dog's collars on, let him out, feed him and let him back in. Then I go back upstairs to do the 3 S's and get ready for the day.

When I come down the stairs that first time, he just walks over to me, no big deal. Same thing when I let him back inside.

But when I come back downstairs 20 to 40 minutes later, it's like I'm one of those soldiers who was deployed overseas for the last 18 months. Psycho dog SO HAPPY to see me.

I don't get it.
