The DA's Office has to decide if any charges should be filed against

the driver of the vehicle or anyone who encouraged Samran and/or the driver to perform this stunt on a public road. The DA's Office can't make that determination until the police have completed their investigation and presented their findings to the DA's Office. You can bet at least 1 has probably been broken by performing this stunt even if it had been successful. So it is possible the DA's Office may want to use this incident as an example to deter people from trying it in the future.
