Tennis latenight
Back in Columbia after a 4 1/2 hour drag up 95. Never try to cut through DC on 395, 10pm on a Sunday? Nope, don't do it. Take 95 around. You've been warned.
So, the last story on the team captain/woman with the van who had been cuffed and taken away is that she rented it, had all the papers and all but the van had been reported stolen, so I guess the cops had those things that constantly read license plates and it kicked back this info.
I was told though she is known for talking back to people (this really is hearsay) so that might have complicated things? but I dunno, but how unlucky can you get?.
Final match of the day we had our own issues when the other team claimed the score was 30-30 when we believed it was 30-15, USTA ruled 30-30 but we still managed to win the game, but that caused a big hub-bub and someone may/may not have filed a complaint against our captain who got into it also. Passions were flaring. Same team as arrested captain btw. Hmmmm.
Oh yeah, we won 6-4, 6-4 after an 0-2 start. Our #1 team won in a third set tie-breaker 10-5. that is, the NTRP thing does what it is supposed to do, put a lot of comparable teams against each other resulting in a lot of really close scores, sprinkle a few points here and there, and the result might go the other way.
That also means we're going to the nationals :^) Here I was ready to close up shop for the year, and I guess I'll be out practicing again this week, and for the next four weeks.
Headed over to No frills Grill afterwards and had the teriyaki tuna posted below before cruising back up 95. Also had the Cherry Blossom Lager. Yeah, I know, gross. But for some reason.I was into it.
Probably sleep in tomorrow. I need it. I am hurt.
