It should come down to school policies, union contract, etc and not some


ridiculous interpretation of "religious freedom". I doubt there is a policy about pronouns, so it may come down to a policy of following instructions of the principal or superintendent or some other general policy.

If a biology teacher starts teaching creation myth and somebody tells him to stop, he damn well better stop even if he thinks it violates his so-called religious freedom. That is probably more explicitly codified but this is similar I think
