You're absolutely right, besides Kendyl, we only have three returning Hokies that played last year....Baptiste, Sheppard, and Mabrey. However, we brought in two, Cole and Rivers, that have more basketball experience than the three returning players. Cole spent her time in the SEC, so she's battle tested. Rivers played against many Power 5 conference teams, at Radford, and more than held her own. Obough Fegue, is a mystery, but she is probably the oldest player on the team, at 22 or 23. I read where her old JUCO coach was quoted as saying she is "a very wise European player that's going to bring a lot of experience to VT".

As for Kendyl....I believe her approx. 4 points and 2 rebounds per game from last season can be covered by the new players, who appear to be much more athletic and versatile. Don't get me wrong, I like Kendyl. When she's not rushed, she can hit some big buckets. I think she's a good, spirited teammate who adds value to the team.

It could be a rough year, yes. But there might be some nice surprises, as well.
