and I live a couple mile from his severely gerrymandered district. Maybe he was somethin' back in the day but I've never seen it. "helped calm Baltimore after the riots"? News to me. I know he got caught up in several scandals one mentioned in Forbes (reputable site, trying to avoid all the pundit sites) etc. etc.

I don't hate him, just see him as another penny ante hack out there and roll my eyes when all the hagiographies come in - although the news cycle already seems to be passing by.

Late post because I follow my rule not to say anything untowards on the day of someone's passing.
