Generally a positive impression.

My main criteria is I need a mattress that doesn't make my back hurt. My back doesn't normally bother me...unless I sleep on a less-than-perfect mattress. I tend to dread hotel stays or visiting friends when I don't know what kind of mattress I'll get. The Purple passes this test for me.

Beyond that, I have noticed stomach-sleeping isn't very comfortable. I personally tend to alternate between back- and side-sleeping, so it isn't much of an issue for me.

Seems reasonably durable. I've had it for close to three years now. No real signs of wear. I do rotate it 180-degrees maybe twice a year just as a precaution, but I'm not sure it's really necessary.

I had a Select Comfort/Sleep Number for 25 years before the Purple. I did like the Select Comfort better, but replacing it with something comparable would have been about twice the price of the Purple. With the money back guarantee trial, I figured it was worth a shot.

Bottom line is I like the mattress. My back doesn't hurt and I tend to sleep fairly well on it. I'm not quite sure I love it though. But since one I know I love is a lot more expensive, I just stuck with the Purple. Absolutely no regerts.
