Great day for the Hokies...

as someone who has a number of Mizzou alum in their family!

I was kind of bummed with the forfeit at 133. I was looking forward to seeing Gerardi wrestle.

Bolen was laying it on a guy that is ranked in AA position preseason. It looked like in the latter half of the third period he may have drained his tank and had to hold on. The takedown he gave up in the mid part of the third he just looked like he didn't react.

Smeltzer didn't look competitive. I hope he can turn that around.

I don't know if Mitch is as technically sound and consistent as the guys who have made AA in the past for us, but the kid is a predator. I love to watch him go.

McFadden looked so comfortable. Some of the shots that he methodically finished when the opponent got an ankle, he just looked in such control.

Prata's ride out looked like some new stuff from him to me. Impact of the new coach at the lower weights?

Happy to have wrestling back. Go Hokies!
