My son joined the Army National Guard in March 2018 and his contract specified a signing bonus - half to be given after finishing his training, one-quarter after 3 years, and one-quarter at the end of his enlistment. More than a year after he completed his training he still hasn't gotten the first installment. He has tried to work with his recruiter, his unit chain of command, and his senator's office, but nobody can seem to tell him why the payment has been delayed or when it might come.
