I try to stay with 'superhosts' and always rent the entire apartment/house

instead of just a room.

The superhosts tend to have a ton of reviews that are extremely positive. We've stayed in AirBnB's in Ireland, China, Thailand, and in many places in the US. It's always been a great experience - we get a much larger place, in a better location, at a lower rate, than a hotel room would have been.

It's especially attractive for us when our alternative is packing 4 people into a single hotel room and we can get a 2-3 BR place, to spread out, instead.
