...at least $1 more than you paid on the east coast.

I was just glad that I could remain a Florida resident during that tour! A good friend of mine enlisted in the USMC out of high school, and spend about half his career in California. His last assignment (or two) were on the east coast, eventually retiring in Virginia, and California tried to go after a piece of his retirement check. I think he told them to pound sand!

I'll never voluntarily live in that state, and laugh at anyone who puts up with their crap.
