I will tell you something about japanese cars you probably know

they can run forever.

In 2012 I spent three months in Africa for work, mostly Rwanda and Capetown. In Rwanda, all the taxi drivers are in unmarked cars like Uber, but the cars are all the same vintage...they are all 80s or 90s japanese cars like nissan maximas or toyota corrollas and they all have 300k+ miles on them...and they all run fine. Basically, these ancient japanese cars come over on boats from the more advanced countries and they buy them all day long.

The never die LOL.
