I said I tried to watch, I've missed probably 20 minutes due to ACCNX

and stream issues so I probably missed this Nolley flurry of drives.

Very well, was on the phone and neglected the "with the exception of" piece of the post, but I'm glad you understand my basketball intelligence based on a singular post. You're right, getting to the line is not a mutually "exclusive" thing, you can do it in multiple way. However you did say "I don't remember a Tech player in the last 10 years who could get to the line at will" and ignored a guy who you just clowned that averaged 6 FTA (good for 6th in the ACC) a game his true freshman year on 6.5 FGA. You must've skipped that season (can't blame you) because they all came at the basket and he forced all of them.

If your definition of drawing fouls "at will" is getting fouled every once in a while after pump faking from deep against sub-300 Kenpom teams than I don't know what to say. Of course Nolley shoots more free throws than average, he refuses to pass the ball and takes 16 shots a game. I would argue Alleyne is more likely to be the guy to draw a foul when we need one because he attacks aggressively.

Your meaningful "analytic" is ridiculously biased and makes no effort to account for usage rates if you're really trying to assess his ability to draw fouls. I mentioned the FTA:FGA ratio earlier because that at least shows some kind of comparison.

Nolley is currently #2 in the ACC in FGA per game and he's our #1 and #2 option so he'll likely keep that up, if he doesn't finish in the top 15 in FTA that would just prove my point. He'll likely beat out Delaney as well because MD23 was the 3rd at best option his freshman year behind Deron and AD, probably Allen as well.

I do believe Nolley will play in the NBA and I think his build is fine for the league, I also think NAW had a much more well rounded game in his 2nd year than his 1st. Granted Nolley is a redshirt so we can't pretend like he's a true freshmen lighting it up, he spent a year playing with our greatest team of all time.
