Kitley didn't play in the 4th because she was being beat by the Liberty player almost every time and. Also we needed Rivers defensive presence. Rivers has got to do better shooting free throws though. Kitley needs to get her confidence back, once she does she can be unstoppable but I think she is suffering from the freshman blues right now. If we play like we did tonight it is going to be a long season when we get to ACC play. They are much better than how they played tonight, but Liberty outplayed them and showed more heart. Sheppard and Mabrey saved this game for us and Cole can be included in that as well. I think they got over confident with that first win and ever since they haven't been playing well. George Mason was not a good game either, but this one was way worse. Liberty was more athletic than George Mason but we should have had the athletic advantage over them. There is no excuse for being out rebounded by Liberty, that is effort plays. Thankfully they pulled it out. The refs didn't help in this game, but they have to learn that the refs are not always going to be on your side. You have to fight through that. You can tell Coach Brooks was frustrated with the team and the refs. I think this game is going to help them in the long run. We won and can learn a lot from this game. That is a positive thing. In past years we would have lost this game and we didn't.
