What ever happened in 2017 stays in 2017? If wiki is accurate


on that page, it wasn't until the 2019 season that whatever the 'stros did violated rules. And according to a WaPo article:

"Teams found in violation of the rules could be punished with forfeited draft picks and international spending money."

So this isn't a very punitive response to an age-old bad habit every team has done day in and day out. Doesn't make it right, but like with a lot of other stuff, history is judged very harshly by a lot of modern-day SJW.
